Broadcasting has been at the heart of our work since the 1980s, across terrestrial, satellite and internet delivery. We hold content frameworks in England and Scotland and support Scottish public inquiry locations.

Northstar Media provides live streaming services for Scottish public inquiries and Scottish Government events, alongside original video content for public service departments. Over the past five years, we have designed, installed and operated bespoke broadcasting systems, delivering thousands of hours of live coverage from inquiry locations, as well as an extensive catalogue of professionally filmed and edited video content.

Streaming has become part of everyday communication since 2020. Content moves from mobile devices into broadcast systems, then out to audiences through platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo.

We bring 30 years of broadcasting experience to that connected world. Working with clients in an advisory capacity, we build professional installations using technology from Vizrt, BirdDog, Panasonic and other specialist manufacturers. NewTek TriCaster, combined with the advantages of NDI video, provides exceptional flexibility for live vision switching. This combination helps us build connected broadcast workflows around the needs of each inquiry, production and event.

OUR EVIDENCE PRESENTATION SOFTWARE

Evidence presentation.
Made for inquiry teams.

Developed in collaboration with multiple public inquiry teams, our Previdencer software seamlessly integrates evidence presentation with live broadcasting. Inquiry staff can independently prepare and organise images, documents and video content offline, ready for presentation at their inquiry venue using a standard Windows PC or laptop.

Simple storyboard lists organise the required evidential documents. Staff then present each item in the inquiry room and on the broadcast stream through the connected broadcast equipment.
